・TEAMWORK AND INNOVATION
The MiniHackathon, hosted by Kevin Chromik, brought together participants of all skill levels, from beginners to professionals. The primary goal of the hackathon was to foster a collaborative environment where participants could have fun, learn new things, and create exciting projects. Among the featured projects was WeatherGotchi, a Tamagotchi-inspired weather assistant that displayed current weather conditions based on the user's location. It included features like geolocation, weather data, city identification, and user-friendly translations, although some challenges, such as unimplemented weather-animal associations and pressure display issues, remained. Another standout project was AllergyShield, which helps users protect themselves from allergic reactions by providing detailed information about food allergens. Its features included allergen search, barcode scanning, and product details, utilizing technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, the Open Food Facts API, and QuaggaJS. The third highlighted project, MovieGuesser, was a fun game where players guessed which of two movies had won more awards. It featured movie comparisons, awards reveals, background images, and score tracking, all built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the OMDb API.
